Relativity Media has released a new poster for the action film, which you can scope out below. Be sure to click on the image to see it full size in our Blend Film Database.
Does that look familiar at all? It should if you've been following news about Haywire. With the exception of some extra text and the title moving up a bit, the new one-sheet is an inverse version of the poster that was released during Comic Con, with red becoming grey and grey becoming red. It would seem that the design team woke up feeling a bit lazy.
While it might sound like I'm a bit down on this project, the opposite is actually true. After all, Quentin Tarantino took the exact same plot and made Kill Bill, so it's really all about style and approach. From what I saw in the footage Comic Con, Soderbergh isn't going the flashy/hyper-real route that Tarantino took, but is rather trying to showcase Carano's real skills as a fighter. Said footage was actually pretty badass, so if the director can make that work for him, you're not going to hear me complain.
