Olivia Wilde To Have The Longest Week

Olivia Wilde To Have The Longest Week image
There's been plenty of talk about how Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and Jessica Chastain have been every where this year, but it's an incomplete discussion without Olivia Wilde. In addition to starring in both Cowboys & Aliens and The Change Up this past summer, Wilde also appears in the political satire Butter and plays Justin Timberlake's mom in Andrew Niccol's In Time. Still not enough Wilde for you? Well, I have some good news.

Reporting out of Toronto, Variety says that Olivia Wilde has been cast as the female lead in The Longest Week. Based on a script by Peter Glanz, who will also be making his directorial debut with the project, the project is about a man named Conrad Valmont who has spent his entire life mooching off of his parents, using all of their resources and living in their hotel. Over the course of a week, however, Valmont's life falls apart completely. The movie is a feature adaptation of Glanz's short film A Relationship in Four Days, which was screened at both the Sundance Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival in 2008. Check out the trailer for the short below:

The short's official plot synopsis mentions that it's a girl named Sabine who manages to turn the lead character's life around, and I think it's pretty clear that will be the role Wilde will be taking. The article doesn't mention who may end up playing the lead role - and considering it's an indie it could be someone we've never heard of - but it could be a fun part for any actor.
